Getting from Mirleft to AFTAS BEACH HOUSE
The pink line on the map above shows the route for cars. The green line shows the shortcuts that can be taken if you are coming on foot from the bus/taxi station. It takes 15 or 20 minutes to walk here from the taxi station. Have a look at our video directions here!
By car:
When you arrive in Mirleft from the north, stay on the main road until you arrive at the first 4-way intersection. Turn right and continue until you arrive at the roundabout. Take the third exit from the roundabout (in effect, you are turning left) and go straight until the road ends. Turn right into the Aftas Quarter and follow the signs to the campsite (Auberge Gîte Le Nomade). Past the campsite you will come to a 4-way intersection. Turn left here and follow the winding road down to the car park. You can enter the house via the back door.
On foot:
If you arrive in Mirleft by bus or shared taxi from the north, it will drop you off just past the first 4-way intersection. Go back to this intersection and turn left. From here, you can follow the driving directions above. As you can see in the map above, there are some shortcuts that can be taken on foot if you don’t mind walking on some steep and rocky ground – but if you are coming to us for the first time or have a lot of luggage, you may find it easier to follow the driving directions.
Keep in mind that you may be approached by people offering to show you the way. They will expect to be paid for this service, so if you do not wish to pay you should politely refuse their offers.
Getting to Mirleft from Agadir Airport
If you arrive at Agadir airport before 1 pm, you should have no trouble getting to Mirleft by public transport.
Get either a shared taxi (taxi collectif) or a bus to Inezgane from the main road outside the terminal (walk over the car park and wait on the opposite side of the road). The cost from the airport to Inezgane is around 10 dirhams. This trip takes up to 30 minutes. From Inezgane, you can get either a shared taxi or a bus to Tiznit. The taxi will cost approximately 30 dirhams per person and the bus slightly more. By taxi, the trip from Inezgane to Tiznit takes about 1.5 hours.
If you are already in Agadir, you can take a shared taxi to Tiznit from the grand taxi station (near Place Assalam). The cost from here is slightly more than from Inezgane, around 35 dirhams.
From Tiznit, you can get a shared taxi to Mirleft for 15 dirhams (you might be charged slightly more for luggage). This trip takes 35 - 40 minutes. The last shared taxi from Tiznit to Mirleft may leave as early as around 5 pm.
There is also a local bus service from Tiznit to Mirleft. It leaves approximately every 30 minutes and the last bus departs between 6 and 7 pm. The schedule is subject to change and will have to be checked in Tiznit.
It’s also possible to get a shared taxi from Inezgane to Sidi Ifni and ask to be dropped in Mirleft, but they tend to be few and far between and you have to ask at the taxi station.
Alternatively, with at least 24 hours notice, we can arrange for a private taxi to meet you at the airport. The cost for this service is £50, payable here in advance.
From Marrakesh
There are two CTM busses each day from Marrakesh to Sidi Ifni, departing at 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm. You will need to request a drop-off in Mirleft.
Alternatively, you can get either a SUPRATOURS or CTM bus to Tiznit and then follow the instructions above for a shared taxi to Mirleft.
You can also take a CTM or SUPRATOURS bus to Agadir, and from Agadir another bus to Tiznit (see above).

From Essaouira
From Essaouira you can take a CTM bus directly to Tiznit, but you will arrive in Tiznit in the middle of the night.
Another possibility is to take 3 shared taxis, Essaouira - Agadir -Tiznit - Mirleft. You could also take a bus to Agadir and then Tiznit. See above for information on getting here from Tiznit.
